During this 3-hour workshop, for nonprofit staff and board members, participants will deepen their knowledge of donor relationship building and gain confidence in what often feels like a daunting task – soliciting donations for your nonprofit organization. Through group activities and practical interactive scenarios, we will cover the how-to’s of “making the ask” – from scheduling the appointment to asking the right questions, from responding to objections to following up after the solicitation.
We’ll cover:
Fundraising principles and the nonprofit world
The major gift fundraising cycle
Prospect identification, research, and evaluation
Relationship building
Preparing for the ask
Making the ask
After the ask
Donor stewardship
…and more!
