Lorrie Eanes Brooks

Community Submission #1: I nominate Lorrie for all her work with our local Out Of The Darkness Walk to side suicide awareness & prevention. She provides education to schools and various groups in addition to leading the annual Walk.

Community Submission #2: Her work with Out of Darkness/Suicide prevention organization to provide support, resources, and training for this region are never ending and without her many families would not be able to access information.

Community Submission #3: Lorrie works with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention where she serves as the voice of South Central Virginia on the Executive Board for our state. She also volunteers as an Executive Board Member for DPCS. She chairs the Out of the Darkness Walk and is a committee lead for RASAP. She continues to share the message of hope and healing as the Vice President of Women United. She truly cares about our community and wants to see the stigma associated with Mental Health challenges erased.
