Join us for our first Networking event of 2017 on Friday, January 6th at 9:00AM for a presentation and discussion about an upcoming AmeriCorps VISTA project partnership between Averett University and the Dan River Nonprofit Network! VISTA agents would fill full-time staff positions in Danville and Pittsylvania County to serve on a specific project at a nonprofit organization or public agency. They will focus their efforts to build the organizational, administrative, and financial capacity of organizations that fight illiteracy, improve health services, foster economic development, and otherwise assist low-income communities.
