Social Media & Online Engagement for Nonprofit Boards

April 12, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Are you fully optimizing social media and online tools with your board? Online strategies are not just for fundraising anymore! Digital skills are quickly becoming a fundamental part of all nonprofits communications and interactions, so it is essential that you integrate digital skills and platforms across the entire organization and into every area of your program’s business model. This includes board engagement. You will discuss how you can match your board members’ responsibilities with different social media and online platforms; identify the first steps for your board to engage with social media and create a culture of continuous learning and experimenting in your organization. At the conclusion of this presentation, you will:

– Understand how social media can be an important tool in your board’s work
– Realize why having your Board engage with social media demonstrates that your program has a culture of continuous learning; and
– Identify first steps and pathways to grow your Board members’ engagement with platforms that best fit their role on your Board.

This is event is a $10 investment for members of the Dan River Nonprofit Network (check our Member Directory) and a $25 investment for non-members. If you would like to join the Network for this year to get this rate and future discounts, click here. (Organizational membership ranges from $35 – $200).
