Join us in October and November for our three part series on Nonprofit Board Fundamentals presented in conjunction with the River District Consulting Group!
Effective Board leadership and governance is critical to the success of any nonprofit organization. This series will introduce new Board members to the nonprofit world, offer a refresher to the seasoned Board member, and help staff to better understand the roles and responsibilities of their governing Board. Take away a set of tools and best practices to strengthen your board and maximize your organization’s success. Participants who complete this series will receive a Certificate in Nonprofit Board Leadership granted by the Dan River Nonprofit Network.
We encourage multiple board members from each represented organization to attend if possible to maximize effectiveness and implementation. Workshops will be held from 9AM – 2PM each day. Breakfast snacks, coffee, other refreshments and lunches will be provided!
Series Agenda:
- 10/18 – Board Roles & Responsibilities; The Board Development Cycle
- 11/1 – The Board’s Integral Role in Resource Development
- 11/15 – The Effective Leadership Team
The entire series (15 hours) is $100 for member organizations for up to THREE board/staff members to attend.
The entire series (15 hours) is $75 for an individual (not an organization) member for ONE attendee.
The entire series (15 hours) is $125 for non-member organizations for up to TWO board members to attend.
The entire series (15 hours) is $100 for a non-member individual (not an organization) for ONE attendee.
