Trina is an outstanding young woman who serves in many capacities to make our community a better place. She organizes and leads an all girls book club so girls can feel empowered and smart while working together to raise each other up. She organizes field trips, college trips, and other fun activities for the girls to be a part of so they not only explore literature, but also themselves. Along with her club, she serves as an AmeriCorps Member getting things done for the citizens of Danville/Pittsylvania County. She helps people in their career search and also helps them find the right educational path. She is kind, loving, and selfless and I am proud to nominate her for Volunteer of the Year!
