Alberta Green is not only a regular Intake Volunteer at God's Storehouse but also serves as a Board Member, Chair of our Volunteer Committee and as the Captain of our Danville Area Crop Hunger Walk team. Alberta has helped tremendously over the past several months by taking on additional shifts as an Intake volunteer while others have been out due to illness. Alberta also helps with special events throughout the year such as the Letter Carrier Food Drive, Danville Symphony Holiday Concert food drive and others. She is always willing to step up and take the lead when needed, going above and beyond her “regular” volunteer duties. Alberta began volunteering with God’s Storehouse in September of 2011 and since that time has contributed more than 2,441 hours to serving our customers. As you can tell, Alberta takes on many roles at God’s Storehouse and for that, we are grateful. Please give Alberta a much deserved “pat on the back” by voting for her for the 2018 Volunteer of the Year.
