OUR MISSION

The Dan River Nonprofit Network strengthens and unites nonprofits across the Dan River region by building the capacity of the social sector to meet the needs of their communities. We believe that Dan River Region’s nonprofits improve the health, self-sufficiency and quality of life of our community.

The Network has three primary goals and focus areas to accomplish our mission:

• • Networking Opportunities: We promote connections that support resource sharing, coordination, and collaboration to ensure excellence in service provision.
  • Skills Training: We deliver high quality skills trainings that support and equip boards, executives, and staff to achieve nonprofit excellence.
  • Vetted Resources: We provide centralized access to vetted resources, tools, and information supporting excellence in the nonprofit sector.

OUR HISTORY + WHERE WE SERVE

The Dan River Nonprofit Network strengthens and unites nonprofits across the Dan River region by building the capacity of the social sector to meet the needs of their communities. Since 2013, the Nonprofit Network has operated in Danville, Pittsylvania County, and Caswell County as a central coordinator to build connections, increase capacity, and foster partnerships in the nonprofit sector. In 2025 we have also expanded to serve Henry County and the city of Martinsville.
