DESCRIPTION:Register Here!\nFundraising can be a nightmare\, but River District Consulting Group can help you turn this daunting task into a dream! This interactive workshop will give you the resources you need to build solid fundraising skills\, in a fun and open environment. Did you know that personal\, face-to-face solicitations are the cheapest way to raise unrestricted operating funds? \nDuring this 2-hour workshop for nonprofit staff and board members\, participants will deepen their knowledge of donor relationship building and gain confidence in soliciting donations for your nonprofit organization. Through group activities and practical interactive scenarios\, we will cover the how-to’s of “making the ask” – from scheduling the appointment to asking the right questions\, from responding to objections to following up after the solicitation. \nWe’ll cover: \n\nFundraising principles\nThe fundraising cycle\nRelationship building\nPreparing for the ask\nMaking the ask\nAfter the ask\nDonor stewardship\n…and more!\n\nDinner will be provided to attendees; please let us know if you have dietary restrictions. \nThe Nonprofit Network will be offering this workshop in all three of our service areas (Caswell County\, Danville\, and Pittsylvania County)\, so if you can’t make one of these times work for you\, consider signing up for a different one. \nThis event is FREE for Nonprofit Network members. For all others\, when registering for this series we ask you to “Pay What You Can” – we understand that our region has many organizations and passionate people that may not always have access to professional development funds for our workshops. We hope to help reduce these barriers whenever possible. Any workshop fees you would like to pay will help equip the Nonprofit Network to continue our capacity building work to support a vibrant social impact sector in our communities. \nYour purchase will include entry to the session and food for each registrant.
