DESCRIPTION:Learn the full grantsmanship cycle\, tools to write compelling proposals\, and the basics of effective grants management.\n\n\nThis course will provide participants with an understanding of the full grantsmanship cycle\, essential tools to write a strong\, compelling grant proposal and the fundamentals of successful grants management. \nBuilding on Level I\, the second session will examine compliance and the closing out of a grant\, both as basic elements of a proposal (continuing from Day 1) and as key to successful grants management—an act of stewardship. Focus will also be placed on considerations around future funding\, including diversifying funding sources. In the final part of the session\, participants will have the opportunity to work in small groups in the writing of a current grant proposal\, followed by class review. \nKey Learning Objectives: \nCreate a system for grant compliance\, including the management of funds and metrics of progress. \nUnderstand grants management to be an act of stewardship for all relevant parties. \nIncorporate future and diverse funding sources into the grants management platform. \nDetermine the most effective writing strategies and approaches for various grant applications. \nDevelop and analyze grant narratives/components for strengths and weaknesses to ensure the successful completion of a compelling grant proposal
