SUMMARY:Cultivating Community Through Farming
DESCRIPTION:Join us on a tour of the Urban Farm at God’s Storehouse to learn about their mission of increasing healthy food in our region\, see what’s planted and what we have planned for the future. You will also hear about the upcoming educational workshops and workdays\, and how the Urban Farm has engaged in the community over the past year. This will be one of the last events with Morgan as her AmeriCorps service ends in May\, so help send her off by seeing all that’s changed since last May! The Urban Farm is located at 760 Memorial Drive with ample parking at the farm or at God’s Storehouse.

At this meeting\, we’ll hear from the Caswell County Local Foods Council\, who will share their organization’s mission and activities as a part of their “Soup’s On 2nd Wednesday” program. Network while enjoying a free\, healthy\, and delicious meal from 11:30AM – 1:30PM in the basement of the Caswell County Agriculture Services building. \nThe presentation from Council representatives will occur at 12:15PM – but feel free to come earlier or stay later to mingle and enjoy your food! \nPlease RSVP to indicate your interest in attending this event.
