SUMMARY:[FREE] Networking Session - Nonprofit Accounting & Financial Statement Updates
DESCRIPTION:New guidance for nonprofit organizations simplifies and improves the face of the financial statements and enhances the disclosures in the notes—enabling nonprofits to better communicate their financial performance and condition and also reducing certain costs and complexities in preparing their financial statements. Learn about the new requirements for reporting net assets\, cash flows\, functional expenses\, investment returns\, endowments\, and related disclosures. This session will be facilitated by Stephen Gay\, a local Certified Public Accountant with Harris\, Harvey\, Neal & Co.\, LLP. \nAdditionally\, a representative from Impact VA will join us at our meeting as well to speak briefly about their work. They are seeking community organizations to partner with in order to create projects for their youth campers to complete this summer during the last two weeks of July. \nRSVP to secure your space and let us know how many snacks to have!
