I would like to nominate Bill and Mary Lee Black as Volunteer of the Year. They can be treated as one, because they work as one to improve Chatham and the surrounding community. Bill serves on Chatham Town Council, and also actively volunteers with Chatham Rotary Club, Chatham First, Pittsylvania Historical Society, and other groups in the community. Mary Lee is also active in Chatham First, Chatham Garden Club, the Community Health Collaborative, and other events and causes. This couple is a living example of civic involvement and community service.
